PRE AND POST COLONIC TIPS
If you are interested in getting the best possible results out of your colonic, then you can follow the tips below to help you get there. Whether you can include all, some, or even just one of the following guidelines, it all counts towards helping you make the most out of your session!
PRE COLONIC TIPS

The more time that you have in between your last meal and your colonic, usually the better. This is to help you feel as comfortable as possible during the session.
Eliminate or reduce all fried foods, processed foods, soy products, white flour/white bread/pasta, alcoholic beverages, carbonated beverages (including seltzer water and kombucha), beans, and peanuts.
Staying well hydrated with good quality water cannot be underestimated. The body can survive a long time without food but it can only go about a week without water.
Have raw and/or cooked vegetables into each meal and avoid drinking with your meals as it makes digestion harder on the body. Sometimes a person can find that cooked vegetables are easier to digest if raw vegetables are too hard to break down.
Stop drinking liquids about 1.5 hours before your treatment (to prevent the need to urinate during your session) and stop eating about 3 hours prior treatment.
Follow food combining guidelines as much as you can, this alone helps digestion immensely!
If you choose to eat animal protein/dairy, enjoy the lighter options: eggs, turkey, chicken, goat cheese and sheep cheese.
If you choose to eat grain, you can have quinoa, millet, oats, and other gluten free grains.
Sometimes it is easier on the body to have well cooked vegetables as raw foods can make some people gassy.
ON THE DAY OF THE COLONIC

If your session is in the morning: try to stick to tea, water, and/or fresh vegetable juices. Allow 30 - 45 minutes for fresh vegetable juices to digest before eating something solid. Low sugar fruits like berries, green apples, and grapefruit are ok to have if you feel like you want to eat. Fruits are best eaten only on an empty stomach.
If your session is in the afternoon/evening: salads, avocados, lighter proteins, goat/sheep cheeses, and cooked vegetables are good to have about three hours before the session.
After your session, you may want to continue eating according to Pre Colonic Tips outlined here to allow your system to adjust to the new state of internal cleanliness.

POST COLONIC TIPS

To give yourself the best possible post session experience, the following is highly recommended for at least 24 hours after the colonic:
Continue following the Pre Colonic Tips.
This is a good time to really avoid anything carbonated or alcoholic as it can lead to uncomfortable bloating (this can also include beverages like kombucha and seltzer water).
You might notice that over time, your body will be more able to tell you how your dietary choices and habits affect you. This awareness is a great thing because it means that the many systems that make up the human body are becoming more finely tuned as result of the body's ability to detoxify on a level it hasn't been able to experience before.
